Week 21

HELLO TRANSFERS ARE THIS WEEK AND IM SCARED AND SO EXCITED
 ALL AT THE SAME TIME...

I've been in Warrensburg for about 5 months which just blows my mind! And I've been out on my mission going on 6 months! Time really does go by so fast!

Well my week was full of mainly downs but some ups. but I feel like you have to have the downs to really appreciate the ups. Most of our investigators dropped us and it just breaks my heart that they are throwing away something that would bring them so much happiness. But I have this amazing thing called faith and I truly believe that part of the mission is planting seeds and those investigators down the road will be ready. It was just not their time yet.

We had exchanges this week and I went with Sister Godfrey! She is amazing and I learned so much from her.

Me and Sister Erekson had to give a training in district meeting and it was so powerful! We had to give a training on "doing whatever it takes to get people to sacrament"
I'm not going to lie it was an amazing training because the spirit was so strong! We did it in the chapel by the sacrament table.

Also another miracle. Me and Sister Erekson were heading out to go tracking, and we always pray before we leave our apartment. And I said the prayer  and during the prayer I asked for his direction and I saw in my head an apartment building so we headed over there and we found Jallog and he is really interested in the Book of Mormon and wants to learn more.

Love you all so much and when times are hard and it feels impossible to keep going say to yourself "REMEMBER HIM"  it has helped me through some rough times and he knows you and what your going through.

Love you all

Week - 20

 HELLO!!!!!

Another great week here in the Burg!  Time flies when your having fun:)

Well first things first, I'm not just saving human souls out here, I'm saving animal souls. Me and Sister E were contacting a potential at this apartment complex, and there was this young adult women kicking her dog around and calling him not so nice names, not treating her puppy in a nice way, side note its a good thing that I'm wearing this name tag and remembered who I represent, because I would of let her have it!  Anyways me and my companion were bitting our tongues, she came and told us we could have this stupid dog! Well we expressed that we wish we could but that we weren't allowed to have dogs. Well she went into her apartment and we heard the puppy start howling. Heart broken Sister E and I ran to the car and called a member she told us we could bring the dog to her house. So lets just say that was the best door approach ever!
"HELLO, YES CAN WE HAVE YOUR DOG"
she practically threw it at us and we ran to the car before she could change her mind. We named him shorty and he is adorable.

We got two new investigators this week! ROB is awesome, he just moved here from Michigan. Funny store about him, when we were talking with him, he brought about 3 potentials to us. ROB doesn't know it, but he is doing missionary work. Another funny story is we were leaving our first lesson with Rob when he looked at us and said "how much do I owe you?" as he pulls out hundreds of dollars of bills, hahaha you should of seen our faces as we said, "no no no, we do this for free".

Our other investigator is Stephan he is also pretty cool, so open to the gospel. we have taught him one lesson and are so excited to teach him more.

Stacey is still doing amazing, we are most likely going to push back her baptismal date, but not sure yet.

Love you all and miss you all like crazy! I love Missouri and I love the people. This is the best adventure I have ever taken and the best decision I have ever made. Its changing me into the person Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want me to be, and that is who I truly want to be.

Love,
Siste Bitters

Week 19

The past couple weeks have been amazing and have strengthened my testimony more and more, day by day, again I will express how much I love being a missionary. It is an emotional roller coaster somedays but thats all part of the fun!

Well this past week was a tough one, not going to lie, but I came to appreciate more, and grow more during those weeks. The one hard thing about a mission is you grow so much love for the people around you. NO, not at all a bad thing, its just hard when they don't want to hear about the gospel or they don't keep there commitments.   It truly breaks my heart and I see a glimpse of how Heavenly Father feels when we choose right and wrong and truly use our agency.

I had a couple amazing lessons/miracles this week. The first one with with Ashley.  Ashley is the very first person I contacted on my mission. We had a lesson with her this past Thursday and her heart has been more softened week by week. I love her so much and her dogs. (justice, is the one I have a picture of sitting on my lap) When I first had a lesson with her, she told us that she was never going to change from her religion, but she would like to learn more. Over time her heart has been opened, our last lesson with her, she really opened up and the way she phrased her questions and answers she truly is being taught by the spirit,  you can see the spirit working in her.  She also invited us to her wedding and I'm crossing my fingers, toes, and legs that President will let me go.  I love her so much, this is what makes all the hard times worth it.

Next we have Stacey,  I can't really say much about her lesson, but how amazing, she is asking inspired questions. The spirit totally took over and gave Stacey more confidence in herself and for her to make and keep commitments.  I love her so much, she has totally done a total 360. She is amazing, again lessons and people like Ashley and Stacey makes the hard times so worth it.

We have been having a hard time keeping appointments with Marffa and Fas.  We randomly went over and we finnally caught Marffa. She let us in and we shared a video with her. We showed her the video of "I stand all amazed" by vocal point, it was so powerful. After we asked Marffa how she felt and she just kept resaying "oh how it is wonderful" and then she said "I can feel it in here" as she pointed to her heart. It was a very tender moment. Marfaa I feel, is wanting to be baptized, we have even found people in our ward to help us teach her English, but Fas is dragging his feet. We are really trying to work with him. Marffa is solid, she told us since we showed her the gospel library, where you can switch the language to Chukeese. She has watched 3 hours of general conference talks!

Also President and Sister Love announced that we get to go to "MORMONNIGHT" a Royals baseball game, I'm so excited! So watch for me on TV.  Sister Love said we could do the kiss cam, she told us to kiss the Book of Mormon! haha so you know I will:)

Love you all,  I hope you are all doing amazing.

Week 18

This week has been hot and wonderful!

-I got to see fireflies for the first time! It was great! They are so cool!

- We got to do service for sweet Sister Burris and Sister Henderson too! While we were planting flowers for Sister Henderson, the biggest spider I've ever seen not in captivity appeared in the garden AND it had a sack on it filled with baby spiders. It was not necessarily our forte. But Sister Henderson saved us by killing it with a shovel and then she started to tear up as she realized she had killed the baby spiders. It was kind of funny.

-Stacey had an awesome lesson with us! We had just had zone conference and discussed inviting people to church powerfully and so that's exactly what we did with Stacey. It was so interesting to me because as we talked about the significance of sacrament and such, her mom, who is a member just started telling us how she didn't care about the church anymore, the commandments, and didn't want to see us anymore. Sister Erekson and I were on the brink of tears. This woman, who has loved the church and been trying to help her daughter come to church, just did a 180 all of the sudden. We told her we loved her and if that's what she wished we would comply. Stacey's mom then stormed out and left us to comfort Stacey who was now in tears. Stacey went on to tell us that she knew this church is true and that she wants to continue taking the lessons. We invited her to church and she exclaimed she'd be there! After we left, we felt the impression to text her mom one last time to just let her know that we still loved her no matter what! On Sunday, a miracle happened! Not only was our investigator there, but her mom came as well! And the miracle didn't stop there! Every testimony and lesson shared that day pertained to them and their struggles! It was amazing to see the Lord's hand in their lives!

- We found some super awesome potentials while tracting the other day! It was crazy hot, as in like 104° hot and we decided we were going to go knock some doors. Well, Heavenly Father blessed us because even though we were extremely sweaty, we found many people that see,ed genuinely interested! And we were able to give out five Books of Mormon! It was awesome!

P day was great today we went out and played Volleyball:)
