Week Eight

Another week in the most amazing work known.

Monday:
PDAY with the zone!  They all came to our church building in Warrensburg and we just played sports and messed around:)  It was so much fun and I almost died a couple times but hey I'm still alive and writing this email😂

Tuesday:
Well today was just full of blessings!
Starting with morning work out:)  so President Love let's us Warrensburg Sisters go to the local community center and run the track there.  So this morning I was doing my cool down walking laps after I had ran and this guy came up to me and made a comment on my companion because she was sprinting because it was her last lap.  I kinda just laughed it off and he turned to keep walking ahead of me and then I had the thought "ask him his name" so I did. I said what's your name? I see you every morning and I kinda feel bad that I don't know. He smiled and said I'm Mark, and are you Mormon? I said I am Mormon:) HE continued to tell me that he is RLDS  but hasn't been back since 2002 and that he wanted to read the Book of Mormon again but couldn't because the print was to small.  So I proceeded to tell him that I actually had a giant size Book of Mormon in my car if he wanted it.  He said he did and I also told him my purpose as a missionary. I asked him the reason why he hadn't been back to his church since 2002 and he said... well I'm still looking for the truth! (OH BOY IN MY HEAD I WAS FREAKING OUT AND JUST WANTED TO TELL HIM THAT I HAD THE TRUTH! BUT I KEPT MY COOL)  I invited him to church this Sunday so fingers crossed and prayers that direction! I'm giving him the Book of Mormon tomorrow when I see him so wish me luck:)

We got two new investigators and well I guess 3 because one came back!
So the one that came back is Karla:) she has been out of town since Valentine's and in and out of the hospital and we could never get a hold of her until today.  The Relief Society President was going to deliver cookies to some members but it turns out they weren't home so she thought about Karla!  Karla was out side and they talked and Karla told her that she wanted to meet with us again!  Yay so meant to be and anyone can be a missionary❤

The 2 new investigators is B and Marian they are the cutest old couple! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH❤ we invited them to church this week and B said she would come and Marian said he would think about it. I think he will because he found out that we could sit next to him and he got real excited! We also gave them a Book of Mormon and they seemed very interested❤

Friday:
Today was a little different:) we had plans to go to the Independence Visitor Center with a recent convert but she ended up not being able to:(  so our day was pretty open. We started this week with this YSA girl name Ruby. She is planning on going on a mission and asked me and sister Payne if we would do a Book of Mormon study with her every day for an hour.  I have loved doing this!  She has so many questions about missions and it's just really fun to help her through some hard moments leading up to putting the papers in.
Then the Bryson family went to Kansas City today so they asked us to go and let out there dogs every few hours or so.  Well they went to Kansas City for the day for Pam's birthday!  So me and Sister Payne went and got her favorite snack and put it in the freezer at her house for her. Then we ran over to a widow in our ward that's moving and we helped her pack. (Let's just say I'm so grateful for all the years I worked and cleaned at nanas! It prepared me!)  Well by the time she was done with us we had been there for 5 and a half hours! Yes crazy but she was so grateful and it really helped her.

I LOVE MISSOURI! I LOVE WARRENSBURG! I LOVE YOU ALL! I LOVE THIS GOSPEL! I LOVE MY SAVIOR! I LOVE MY HEAVENLY FATHER AND MOTHER! I LOVE MY FAMILY❤ I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!

Week Seven

Hey Hey Hey This week has been amazing here in Warrenburg❤ I love the people and this gospel so much! Monday:P-day with the Harlans! The cutest old couple here in Missouri! Their seriously goals. They has some amazing stories and make me feel so loved and welcomed. Brother Harlan was raised in the circus. Yes a circus and he's amazing and we get along really well because we can joke back and forth with each other.  Sister Harlan is just the cutest. She made me a keto friendly soup to take to the apartment so I can have food to eat. Just spent basically all our p-day with them, half with brother Harlan there because he was out playing basketball with some kids at the college. Yes I said playing basketball haha he is a legend! He is 81 and still killing it on the court. They call him captain hook because of his shot.
The people are so amazing here. They found out about my eating allergies (aka my keto eating life style). Every dinner I go to its keto friendly... for the most part and they just are so aware and want to keep me healthy and on the mission. I love them so much
Tuesday:Service at the food pantry. The people there are so amazing. It's just a fun place to meet people from all different church's and work together. ❤Most of our appointments canceled😣 But it's okay... I'll get over it haha But on the plus side we got two new potentials and one will most likely turn into an investigator. So yay blessings Went to dinner with the Harlans tonight! ❤ such a blessing to know them.  They're what I dream of being in the future. They just love each other so much,it's written all over both there faces. They are both quick in humor! So we get along great:)

Wednesday:We met with a referral from Kentucky! His name is Slaton and he is a golden investigator! We have him on date for baptism on April 21!!! So excitedWe asked if he would start reading the book of Mormon and he said that he had already started and that he wanted to read it cover to cover! Oh my just so amazing! The Bryson family is my family! They have taken me in like I'm family❤ truly love them so much! Whenever we don't have dinner they are inviting us over. They go above and beyond on the meals for my health. I don't know what I would do with out them. I can truly be myself there❤

Funny moment tonight at the Brysons for dinner they forgot to set out cups but had a pitcher of water. Sister Payne (my companion) made a joke like oh who needs cups just water fall it into my mouth. So to be funny Pam (momma Bryson) picks up the pitcher and Sister Payne  tilts her head back just playing along...🤣 but Pam didn't realize how full the pitcher was actually it poured water all over Sister Payne's face!!! So funny

Saturday: Interviews with President and Sister Love❤ I love them both so much! I seriously have the world's best mission president! Blessings after blessing:) we got another referral for this girl named Taia. So me and Sister Payne followed up on it and it turns out that she's 11 and her mom is a inactive member. The rest of her family is not members. She has met with the Elders before but stopped that, but that was a while ago. So we went to her house tonight and they invited us in and we talked for awhile and I just fell in love with them. Taia has two younger siblings and that are just the cutest. We got invited back next Sunday and are going to have lunch with them and teach Taia... and hopefully the whole family about the plan of salvation. So excited! Never lose sight of the savior! Make him the center of your life! Matthew 14:22-31Peter got afraid and took his eyes off the savior and began to sink but the savior was there to save him when Peter reached out! Never take your eyes off the savior, but when you don't because none of us are perfect. Call unto him for help and he will save you.

Sunday: STAKE CONFERENCE! What an amazing stake. The talks were amazing and we actually had to do it at the University because the Stake Center is to small.  So fun because I got to see my zone and I love them all so much! We had dinner with the Brysons! After we watched the movie about Joseph Smith's history❤ and then did some family history.... aka we tried to figure out if we were related in anyway. So my companion is my 9th cousin🤣 and Pam Bryson and Ryan Bryson are my 9th cousin 1 removed? Haha whatever that mean! WE'RE RELATED! And I'm also related to Joseph Smith and Walt Disney so I'm pretty legit :) Love you all so much and so grateful for all the love and support from home! You all mean the world to me❤Come what may and love itSister Bitters

Week Six

HELLO EVERYONE!

Life here in Missouri is amazing :) I'm loving every second here and just fall more and more in love with this gospel and the people❤ they call this mission the Alfa and Omega Mission! They also say that people that are born (first area) into Warrensburg (aka the burg) then your a legend. Well I guess I'm a legend:) hahaMonday night we went and visited one amazing sister, Sister Stevens! Okay her back ground is crazy and somewhat unbelievable. She was born into a cult. Like her dad was the head of it. She grew up being taught that God didn't want her. Let's just say, she saw a lot of bad stuff in her life. She came to the point that she was done and was going to take her life, until two sister missionaries knocked on her door. She said the missionaries seriously saved her life. She is so incredible and so giving to others. Tuesday we got the Elders and went over too Sister Stevens, because Monday night she had asked us if she could get a blessing for her eye surgery and just her health in general. When we got there Tuesday, before going in I had the thought, hey tell the Elders about her struggle with the Word of Wisdom. Well, I forgot too, but in the blessing Sister Stevens was told she would be blessed if she obeyed the Word of Wisdom, it was exactly what she needed. After her amazing blessing she asked us if we would do her a favor and take her trash out. Well, we said of course! Then she said, ok let me hurry and add some stuff to it. She proceeds to go through her house and grabs her ash trays, cigarettes and lighters and throws them away! She is so amazing and strong! The gospel seriously changes people's life's and Sister Stevens has so much faith I just love her so much❤I got a diet coke today !!!❤ Best thing ever !!!ZONE CONFERENCE!!!!! I loved zone conference with all my heart. It's so fun to come together and see so many familiar faces and meet new ones.  All doing the same amazing work! Such an uplifting day. I'm so grateful for my mission president and his wife. They truly represent their last name :) President and Sister Love❤❤❤I got to go to the Temple! It was amazing and so so beautiful! Cool thing about the Kansas City Temple, is that there is a pictures of Christ and President Monson said it's the closestresemblance to Christ that he has ever seen. It was definitly a peaceful experience that I really needed. We have a baptismal date for our new investigator Slaton! So excitingThank you for all the love and support! I love you all so much and I truly love this gospel. Come what may and love it

Week Five

HELLO EVERYONE!

My week has been amazing! We have 3 new investigators this week! Crazy and will probably have one of them with a baptismal date at the end of this week! I'm so excited and love this gospel.

One of my favorite things about missionary life is meeting so many amazing people and hearing about there faith and beliefs. We were out tracking, also one of my favorite things:) and I had one house stick out to me so we went and knocked on the door. This sweet lady answers the door and let's us in. Her name is Megan and she is amazing! She has a strong faith in Jesus Christ and heavenly father. She is part of the church of Scientology. I have never heard of that and she explained and it so very different. She helps people figure out there problem. She said she would love for us to come and share messages. Most of her family is Mormon. So yay she's so amazing!

Another person we contacted haha his name is Richard. He was super nice and open with us. Like really open haha. He explained to us that he believes that the earth is flat and that NASA is fake and no one went to the moon, and no one can go to space. He told us he's still trying to figure out comits. Haha so funny! He told us we couldn't come inside his house because there was to much sin in there haha. We taught him the restoration and talked about the book of Mormon. He said he might come to church but didn't know. He was really open for us to come back and teach him more. I think we're going to send the elders 👍

Went and visited a sister in our ward this week just to show love to her. We talked with her about an hour just about bed bugs. I am now scared. Do you know bed bugs have trackers. Once they bit you they can find you again! Let's just say I now have a fear of bed bugs and left her house with a very upset stomach haha

We had exchanges this week so I left Sister Payne and went to Kansas City with Sister Angerbower! She is amazing, she has been out a year. She is from Riverton and we got along very well. I learned so much from her and had a great time. Funny moment we had some service to do for this lady in the ward in Kansas City. On our way over there,  Sister Angerbower turns to me and said, put your hair up and don't sit down and don't touch the animals. My respond was why? She said this member recently had bed bugs! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Haha my luck. Another funny story we were going to contact some potential and her apartment number we read it was 8000, well we are driving around freaking out because there's no 8000 apartment! We were getting so upset and then decide to look at the address again. 8000 was the street. 301 was the apartment number, hahaha we felt so stupid, so funny! I love it here! The people are so amazing and make me feel so loved. Thanks for all the prayers, your all in my prayers! Love you all so much! Until next week

Come what may and love it
